Our 2022 Rose Show was a great success! (June 4, 2022) There were 428 roses and 73 photographs shown by 24 exhibitors from as far away as Urbandale, IA and, Springfield and St. Charles MO. After the show, the roses were donated to unexpectedblooms.org to bring joy to others. Following are a few of the prize-winning roses and exhibitors.

Useful Information For Entering A Rose Show (PDFs)
- Tips for first-time rose show exhibitors. For complete show rules see the rose show booklet.
- View 2021 Event Photos
For fresh-cut roses
- You must know the name of your rose. For example: Mr. Lincoln, Pink Knockout, Double Delight, etc.
- Cut your rose with as long of a stem as you can.
- The rose should be fresh “at its point of highest beauty” and the bloom about ½ to ¾ open.
- Do not remove the leaves.
- Always keep the stem in water until you get to the show.
For rose photography
- You must know the name of your rose. For example: Mr. Lincoln, Pink Knockout, Double Delight, etc.
- Most classes ask for a close up of a single rose, taken as if you are looking down on it.
- The photo will be judged equally on the beauty of the bloom and the quality of the photograph.
- The photo must be printed, 5x7 inches, unmatted and unmounted.
