The Kansas City Rose Society's 2011 Rose Show attracted 278 entries. It was held on June 4th in conjunction with the Society's 80th Anniversary Celebration on Rose Day, which was the 5th of June. The Show attracted around 200 visitors.

 

Ed and Betsy Holland's roses were selected as Queen and King of the Show.  The Queen was Sunstruck and the King was Great Scott.  The Princes of the show was Tahitian Sunset shown by Glenn and Carolyn Hodges. 

 

In the Miniatures/Miniflora category, the Hodges team took Queen and Princess awards with Conundrum and Irresistible. The Hollands' Dixieland was named King of the category. 

 

Donna Kitterman was the overall sweepstakes winner with 56 blue ribbons for first place; Glenn and Carolyn Hodges took home 21 blue ribbons and Ed and Betsy Holland claimed 19 blues.  

 

The Annual Rose Show is held the first weekend in June and is sponsored by the KC Rose Society.
